Alcmene is mother of Heracles and Iphicles. Heracles and Iphicles are twins, but only Heracles is immortal.Iphicles was the son of Amphitryon, while Heracles was the son of Zeus. Hera jealous Alcmene, so she make Eurystheus became king of Mycenae and Tiryns.Eurystheus help Hera try to kill Heracles .

1. The Rivers of the Underworld. The Greeks beleived there were five rivers in the Underworld. Find information regarding the five rivers of the Underworld and why are they important.
They are: Acheron, Cocytus, Styx, Lethe, and Phlegethon.
- The Styx river of hatred .Styx means "hate" . It's the most famous river. It's important because this river seperates the land of the living from the realm of the dead.This river also is sacred place to both gods and men.
- The Acheron is the river of woe and pain.It's important because Charon ferried the dead across from the land of the living to the realm of Hades.
- The Lethe is the river of oblivion. It's important because when the dead drink the waters of Lethe to forget their earthly existence.
- The Phlegethon is the river of fire burned.It's join up with the Acheron. It's important because plato say this river led to the depths of Tartarus.
- The Cocytus is the river of cries or lamentation.It's important because when some died not properly, their walking about the banks of this river for most of their afterlife.
